PIGS
A better show of sows this week, with good numbers forward and some well fleshed sorts amongst them, topping over £160 from Foster Farms, Catwick for a really strong, well finished sow.

Heavy Gilts to 105p/kg and £155.00, average 69.0p/kg.

Cull Sows to 51p/kg and £160.53, average 48.0p/kg.
Cull Boar to 40p/kg and £103.60.

Store Pig to £96.

SHEEP
More sheep than expected this week, and with some significant variation in the hoggs forward, ranging from 38-80kg, but buyers for all sorts and sensible trade throughout, still a premium for well fleshed hoggs though, with anything that could have stood another fortnight at the trough seeing a noticeably tougher trade.

Prime Hoggs
Standards to 332.5p/kg and £130, average 332.5p/kg.
Mediums to 352p/kg and £148, average 336.2p/kg.
Over-Weights to 296p/kg and £160, average 259.4p/kg.
SQQ 335.5p/kg.

Clean Sheep to 151p/kg and £122.

Cull Ewes to £170, average £152.50.
Feeding Ewes to £103, average £79.20.
